Tailored support to meet your needs

We understand balancing work, training and life can be tough, especially in the early stages of an apprenticeship or traineeship.

MEGT supports them by offering services including:

  • Resources to help everyone navigate common challenges
  • Expert assistance and advice to help resolve short-term setbacks
  • Connections and referrals to specialist support services if needed 

Some apprentices may also qualify for one-on-one mentoring support at no cost to you. Apprentices eligible for mentoring include (but are not limited to):

  • Women in male-dominated trades
  • First Nations Australian Apprentices
  • Australian Apprentices with disability
  • Australian Apprentices located in remote areas

At MEGT, our qualified mentors are dedicated to keeping your team motivated and on track. We offer personalised support tailored to address a range of challenges, such as:

Work and training support

  • Overcoming workplace hurdles. From navigating job roles to tackling training and assessment challenges, we’re here to help.
  • Career guidance. We provide insights to help apprentices plan for their future.
  • Literacy and numeracy assistance. MEGT makes sure apprentices and trainees have the support and skills needed to thrive.

Personal support

  • Mental health wellbeing. Our mentors can help apprentices navigate personal challenges, ensuring they stay focused and engaged with work.
  • Financial and housing support. We connect apprentices and trainees with resources to reduce create a more stable environment outside of work.
  • Cultural and legal assistance. Access to programs which support a diversity of needs.

Our experienced mentors work closely with apprentices to develop tailored ‘stay at work’ plans, ensuring those at risk of not completing their qualifications stay on track.
